Foods class! It's awesome! And, as part of my required curriculum, I am compelled to write a short summary concerning the differences between two different recipes of the same delicacy. So without further ado I present to you the amazing Grilled cheese Sandwich and it's trusty sidekick Tomato Soup!
No pictures, sorry.
RECIPE #1- "Convenience" meal
This sandwich was admittedly quite easy to make. However, what it possessed in lack of difficulty was immediately countered by the disgusting horror of Processed Cheese Melts. I hate those things. The sandwiches were good when their disturbing flavour of solidified cheez whiz was disguised by the buttered bread and tomato soup, but I never, ever want to eat that kind of cheese again. Yech. The tomato soup, on the other hand, tasted just great. No complaints here. And it was really easy to make. I would not recommend making the sandwich, but the soup's just fine.
RECIPE #2- "Gourmet" meal
I think I'm going to keel over dead from the awesometasticalness (Yes! I made up my own word! Three cheers for Ben!) of this dish. I have always insisted that sourdough bread was the best bred in the world, and the use of sourdough in this assignment went a long way. Plus the use of REAL cheese instead of squares of plasticized cheez whiz was a big improvement. The spices in the soup made it infinitely tastier, although the difficulty of making the soup kind of countered that. The sandwiches, though, were just as easy to make as the convenience meal and were therefore infinitely more awesome. If you're looking for a quick and easy meal that tastes awesome, don't do this soup. But you really ought to make these sandwiches.
Cheerio for now.
Very well done, Ben!
