Why did the potato cross the road?

...It had no choice. It was trapped in my stomach.

*ba dum tss*

Bad jokes aside, this week we made things with potatoes. On Tuesday we made Potato Pot Pie, and on Thursday we got to choose our own recipe. Our group (Me, Joel and Bradie) decided to make stuffed Baked Potatoes. So, without further ado, I give you my opinions on the two dishes.

RECIPE #1: Potato Pot Pie
Yum. This was a pleasure to make, and an even greater pleasure to eat. We made the dough for the pie first, chilling it in the fridge while we cooked up the filling. It was simple and easy. Just chop everything up, mix up the soy sauce and cornstarch, and fry it all in a pan. We could have made the potatoes a wee bit smaller, but this worked too. But the most epic thing ever about this recipe was... *drum roll please* JOEL LIKED IT! HE ATE HIS ENTIRE PORTION!!! SHOCK HORROR!!! Minus the horror bit. It was a pleasant surprise- Joel doesn't like pretty much anything.

RECIPE #2: Stuffed Baked Potatoes
This was my personal favourite of the two recipes. It was extremely simple and tasty. It's only downside was the obscenely long amount of time required to cook the potatoes first- But that was just fine with me since I had nothing to do except draw as the potatoes inched their way toward readiness in the oven. When they came out we scooped out their starchy innards and mashed them up with sour cream and green onions and filled the empty skins up again. Then we sprinkled cheese on top and cooked them some more, to melt the cheese. 'Twas delicious and fun in every way.

Well, that was fun. Enjoy this post. Okay, 'bye for now.
